Outback Tops Visibility Test |

The Subaru Outback has topped a test carried out by WHICH? magazine which focussed on driver visibility. The report claimed that most car makers were ignoring the risks of reduced visibility. The Outback scored 63.2% and WHICH? said that the Outbacks slanting nose gave a clear forward view, whise narrow pillars also allowed good visibility to the left rear corner. ![]() The tests involved fixing a camera at an average height and assessing how much of the view is clear window and how much is pillar. The tests began on 2006 and covered 450 models in total. Conventional tests such as the EuroNcap crash tests do not cover visibility. WHICH? claim that poor visibility is on of the biggest complaints from car owners. | |||||
